Ok. So we crammed a lot into 1 day of walking around london and even finished with a show at the West End that night. Managed a selfie in front of every major monument. Thanks for the travel present Edo and Katrina.
Will not bore you with our self indulgent photos, but found a fellow fossil in Trafalgar Square. Poor horse must have walked the same distance we did circumnavigating london and it was too much for him.
Tried to resist the the trip to Harrods and the never ending debt that could come with it. But then what do you find in harrods that you cannot resist ………
So yes I weakened and into Harrods we bravely went. After all, there are some things in life you can only do once.
My Australian seafood buffet record for most oysters consumed in one sitting was safe though due to a recent spike in the price for oysters at Harrods. When I worked out the price for 6, I kindly asked if I could spare the lives of five and just keep the really big one on my plate. And who would have thought …… Harrods do not do refunds.
Especially on opened oysters !!
Oh well …. We enjoyed the experience and the bread crumbs for dinner were almost as satisfying. Just fighting the pigeons off for the pieces of bread was perhaps the only annoying experience for the day. They are cunning little things and capable of so much more than just pooping on statues.
