We arrived in Madrid for a few days of looking around before our guided tour of Southern Spain.
Wow … what a city. Incredible buildings, amazing parks and walking around exploring is the perfect way to soak up the city.
But this presents me with a challenge. Do I just post pictures of amazing buldings, cathedrals, palaces and statues. Perhaps not.
Well maybe just a couple of photos … as the King of Spain was hosting an audience at the palace when we did our walk by, so there were lots of regal affair going on, flash black cars, security in suits and …………… well basically half the country’s police force there to greet us.
I did a quick check to see if our names were on the guest list to go in, but no definitely means NO when they have machine guns close at hand.
My favourite photo was the motorcycle police dude who is preparing himself to mooonlight in a spanish ZZ Top cover band.
Anyway, enough of the royal party that I wasn’t invited to.
Back to some serious exploring and photos that mean nothing to nobody.
And here is a fine example ……
A photo of a horse that i snapped ………
And one that Kylie took ….
Kylie tried to explain that her horses were on the move so it was a tougher shot, but I think I have just matured my photography skills to capture the most important angle of any photo.
To respect Kylie’s love for horses, and her photography skills …… here is one she liked from our palace visit.
Enough horsing around ……… the next Madrid post will be serious and educational.
